Excursion Information
Excursions will take place
on Wednesday 6th January for interested participants.
REGISTRANTS CAN BOOK EXCURSIONS AT REGISTRATION
Participants will be picked
up from Immanuel College at 1:00pm (except Brewery Tour
which will be at 12:30pm). Returning at various times.
Brewery Tour
Visit
Coopers Brewery for a 1 hour museum tour and then tasting.
Then its off to West End Brewery (Lion Nathan Brewing) for 1 hr 15 min to listen
to a talk
about brewing and a tour of manufacturing with more tasting at the end.
The final stop is at the Port Docks Brewery where you will have the opportunity
to see a
smaller brewery in action and learn about the history of Port Adelaide.
Flat shoes must be worn for this excursion.
You will need to leave your last session ˝ hour earlier than everyone else to
make the first Brewery tour at 1.00pm.

Nathan Brewing (west End) $10 pp
Port
Docks Brewery – tour is free. Afterwards if you wish to taste the beers made
there,
one taste is for free, but if you would like 100ml of all 6 that will cost $10

Cleland Wildlife Park & Mount Lofty
Have you
ever wanted to pat a Koala?
Hand feed kangaroos and emus?
See lots of the unique Australian animals in their own environment?
Then this is the excursion for you.
Travelling to and from Immanuel College spend the afternoon at wandering at your
leisure through the Cleland Wildlife Park and on the way home go to Mount Lofty
to see the panoramic view of Adelaide as sunset happens.
But wait there is more…………Check out the optional KOALA HOLDING EXPERIENCE below.

If you want to actually hold a Koala, for an additional cost of $30 per person,
you can, which includes one professional photo.
If you are interested in this you MUST let us know when booking
your excursion at registration so we can book you in.
Hahndorf, The Adelaide Hills & Mount Lofty
Drive through the picturesque Adelaide Hills on
your way to the German settlement of Hahndorf.
Hahndorf's first settlement took place in 1839. The name "Hahndorf" was derived
from
Captain Dirk Hahn of the ship named 'Zebra', which arrived in Adelaide in 1838
with a
party of immigrants from the Eastern Provinces of Prussia. The German influence
is still
visible today in the architecture of the old buildings, many of which still
stand as homes and shops.
The time there is you own to wander around the historic town, try some German
food
and the many bakeries and restaurants. On your way back, see a panoramic view
of Adelaide
from Mount Lofty at sunset.

McLaren Vale Winery Tour
McLaren
Vale is one of Australia’s renowned wine regions, famous for producing some the
best wines in the world, and with over 76 cellar doors. Visit 3 or 4 local and
award
winning wineries with approximately 45 minutes at each cellar door for tastings
(at no cost).
Purchase some wines to take home with you at your own cost.
Including a visit to a local bakery for afternoon tea at your own cost.

Chocolate Tour
Do you
love your chocolate – well this will make your mouth water.
Visit Haigh’s chocolates (Adelaide own – award winning and delicious).
Tour their factory (no cost) and find out about the history of the company and
get a peek at how they turn a bitter coca bean into delicious chocolate.
Afterwards, enjoy some complimentary tasting and coffee/tea.
Afterwards go into town to Beehive Corner (at the top of Rundle Mall) and
finish off at Adelaide’s Central (food) Markets. All unique experiences to
Adelaide.
