Can You Hear Me Now? Opportunities for Solos in the Orff Schulwerk Classroom. Part 1. |
No worries, it’s all part of the game, part of the fun! Solos for voice, Orff instruments and recorders will be part of the active music making in these two workshops. To improve the singing, the child needs to hear their own voice and the teacher needs to hear the child to evaluate and assist. Solos on instruments raise the student’s level of effort, concentration and musicianship. Recorder solos prevent bad habits and dramatically improve tone quality and improvisation. Ages 3-9 Please bring soprano recorders. |

Minimalism, Machines & Malcolm |

In this session contemporary music is the source, but the treatment is pure ‘Orff’. A highly creative composition based session involving group work and improvisation. Participants are given permission to ‘bust out’ and ‘get down’ as they put their own creative spin onto the music. |
